Maier Sports model search campaign
Conditions of participation
The organiser is Maier Sports GmbH, Nürtinger Str. 17, 73257 Köngen, Germany (hereinafter “Maier Sports”).
Maier Sports is looking for models to take part in a photo shoot for Maier Sports products. The photo shoot is expected to take place in June 2020 in the Allgäu/Germany.
Maier Sports is not looking for top models, but everyday people who enjoy taking part in sports. The motto of the model search campaign is “strong individuals, strong characters”.
To apply, go to: www.https://maier-sports.com/en/online-magazine/we-want-you/. By applying, the participant accepts the conditions of participation.
How to enter: The participant completes the mandatory fields in the entry form and sends the form to Maier Sports by clicking on the “Apply now” button. To apply, the participant must upload at least one photo of themselves and answer a few questions about themselves (incl. name, age, email address, telephone no. and postal address) and leisure activities (sports, frequency, etc.). The organiser will only consider complete applications.
The application period is: from 6th September 2019 12:00 am to 17th November 2019 11:59 pm
The competition is open to anyone resident in Europe aged 18 or over at the time of entry. Employees of Maier Sports GmbH and the Schwan-STABILO Group and their family members are not eligible to enter the competition.
Models will be selected after the application deadline based on the information submitted and then notified by email. The models will be selected by 29th November 2019. Immediately after receiving the notification from Maier Sports, no later than 6th December 2019, the participant has to confirm their participation in the photo shoot to Maier Sports and send any additional information (e.g. clothes size) the organiser may need. Otherwise Maier Sports is entitled to select new participants.
There is no right to participate in the photo shoot. Maier Sports reserves the right to wholly or partly suspend the photo shoot.
The organiser is responsible for travel and accommodation costs as well meals.
Maier Sports will use the photos taken at the photo shoot for the purpose of advertising its own products and on its website www.https://maier-sports.com/en/, on the Maier Sports social media platforms on: Instagram, Facebook, ….. as well as in paper catalogues and in international advertisements. The models are not entitled to be named, however Maier Sports may name the models. Rights can be assigned and are unrestricted as to time, place, material and content. Maier Sports points out that the photos published on the Internet will be able to be accessed all over the world. Therefore, further use of these photos by a third party cannot be ruled out. A separate agreement regarding assignment and use of photos will be signed by the parties.
There is no right of appeal.

Data protection information
MAIER SPORTS ensures that the personal data it collects will be treated confidentially in compliance with the data protection regulations, especially the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

3. DATA PROCESSING INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPATING IN THE MODEL SEARCH CAMPAIGN
The participants’ personal data, such as surname, first name, age, email address, postal address and photos, will be used solely for the purpose of selecting the models and carrying out the photo shoot. MAIER SPORTS will also process the clothes size, gender, postal address as well as photos from the photo shoot of the models selected for the photo shoot.
The personal data mentioned above will only be collected if the participant provides the information. The participant is free to choose whether to provide us with this data. However, MAIER SPORTS cannot consider applications without these details.
Personal data will not be shared to third parties. MAIER SPORTS uses different service partners for processing and shipping who will only receive the participants’ personal data needed to fulfil their jobs. We only share personal data with third parties when a suitable agreement (e.g. an order processing contract, where legally required) exists. Personal data will only be shared to the extent required for the relevant purpose. The companies in question have to comply with applicable data protection law, will treat your personal data confidentially and may on no account use it for their own business purposes.
The legal basis for processing the data after applying to participate in the model search campaign is Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.
5. Rights of the data subject
5.1. Right to be informed
You have the right to request information from us regarding the collection and use of your personal data as well as its origin, recipients or categories of recipients to whom this data is passed on and the purpose of storage.
5.2. Right to revocation
If you have given your consent to the use of data, you can revoke this at any time without giving reasons with effect for the future. Simply send an email to: email@example.com or in writing by post to: MAIER SPORTS GmbH | Nürtinger Str. 27 | 73257 Köngen | Germany.
5.3. Right to rectification
If we hold any personal data about you that is inaccurate, you can ask us to correct it at any time.
5.4. Right to erasure and blocking
You have the right to have the personal data we hold about you erased or blocked. As a rule, your personal data will be deleted within seven working days after asserting your right as a data subject. Should the erasure contradict legal, contractual, fiscal or commercial storage obligations or other legal reasons, your data will only be blocked and not erased. Once your data has been deleted, we are no longer able to provide you with any information regarding your personal data.
5.5. Right to data portability
Should you request us to surrender the personal data that we hold about you, we will release or transmit the data to you or another data controller, if you so desire, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. However, the latter only applies if this is technically possible.
5.6. Right to object
You have the right to object to your personal data being processed without giving specific reasons based on Article 6(1)(e) and (f) of the GDPR. However, once you have exercised your right to object, we may no longer be able to offer our services in full as certain services require the processing of certain personal data.
5.7. Contact for asserting data subject rights
When you contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org, we will store the data you provide (your email address and if applicable your name and your telephone number) in order to answer your questions or to respond to your request. We delete the data arising in this context after the storage is no longer necessary, or restrict the processing if statutory retention obligations exist.
6. Right of appeal to the supervisory authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the designated data protection supervisory authority to object to the processing of your personal data if you feel that your rights under GDPR have been violated.
