5-year guarantee


Products used for a long time are especially sustainable and effectively conserve our planet´s resources. Thus, we focus on high quality and voluntarily provide every customer with a 5-year guarantee for the material and for processing defects. 

Do you have a warranty claim? Then please follow these four steps

1. Your product is defective

Your item is defective within the 5-year warranty through no fault of your own and you have the proof of purchase. For reasons of hygiene, please wash/clean your product before contacting your retailer.

2. Contact your dealer and have your cleaned product checked

Please contact the retailer from whom you purchased the product with your defective product and proof of purchase. 

Your dealer will then check whether it is a material/processing defect or normal wear and tear or improper handling. 

Please note that the warranty must be processed by your Maier Sports dealer, as you concluded the purchase contract with them.

3. The retailer sends your product to Maier Sports

If the defect occurs within the warranty period despite proper handling of the product, the retailer will send us your product and discuss the next steps with us. You do not have to worry about anything else.

4. The product will be professionally repaired by us and returned to the dealer

We will repair the product free of charge or replace it completely at our discretion. We will then send your product back to your retailer, where you can collect it again.

Important information about the warranty

The warranty applies to all Maier Sports products for 5 years from the date of purchase (of the new product) by the consumer. The date of the proof of purchase is decisive. The customer is a consumer unless he has purchased the product in order to resell it or to use it in the course of his commercial or independent professional activity. 

Maier Sports guarantees the consumer that its product is free from defects in material and workmanship. If a defect occurs within the warranty period despite proper handling of the product, Maier Sports will repair the product free of charge or replace it completely at its own discretion.

Claims under this warranty do not apply to defects caused by the consumer's own fault, such as a fall or accident, or caused by improper handling or normal wear and tear, especially in the case of particularly intensive use. Maier Sports shall also not be liable under the guarantee if the defect is due to improper repair or other interventions by third parties.
The warranty is valid for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase (warranty period). The date of purchase of the new product from the specialist dealer is decisive. The warranty period shall not be extended due to the provision of services under this warranty, in particular not in the event of repair or replacement of the product. In such cases, the warranty period shall not begin anew.
Please note that communication and return of goods must be made via the retailer with whom you have concluded the purchase contract. Unfortunately, it is not possible to send the goods directly to Maier Sports GmbH.
For reasons of hygiene and out of consideration for our employees, the product must be cleaned in advance according to the instructions. Otherwise, we reserve the right to charge for the washing service.
As a rule, the processing time is 1 to 3 weeks. Depending on which country the complaint comes from and whether any queries are necessary, the time may be slightly longer..
Our more than 80 years of experience, extensive know-how and highly trained employees give us the certainty that we can maintain our quality standards. We repair the products professionally in our own sewing room in Köngen. If a repair is not possible, the product will be completely replaced at our discretion.

The consumer can assert the rights arising from this guarantee by presenting the defective product and the original proof of purchase to the retailer from whom the new product was purchased within the guarantee period. After a preliminary inspection of the defect, the retailer will ship the product to Maier Sports.

In the event of a warranty claim, Maier Sports will repair the product free of charge or replace it completely at its own discretion.

If the examination shows that there is no warranty claim, the product can be repaired by Maier Sports at the customer's expense. In this case, Maier Sports will inform the customer via the retailer from whom the product was purchased of the estimated costs before carrying out the repair. In this case, the consumer is free to order the repair of the product for a fee or to request the return of the unrepaired product.

The geographical scope of the manufacturer's warranty is not restricted.
